Top Weird National Holidays You Should Experience

People just love celebrations. Whether it is an excuse to drink or just for you to take a day off from work, it does not matter. The festivities are what is important. Nowadays, you can even see weird national holidays on the calendar just to accommodate people's love for a day off. Here are some of the peculiar rest days that are known around the world.

First is the Day of the Sea. The said celebration is one that Bolivians host in order to commemorate the loss of the very important and final ocean-front property they have in the past, the Port of Calama. They lost this in the battle with the Chilean forces. It has a great impact on their history so they celebrate it yearly.

Korean Alphabet Day. There is no one who loves their alphabets more than the Koreans. It even come to the point of them setting aside a day for the celebration of the said event. A day out of the Koreans' life has been allocation for the celebration of the existence of the Korean Alphabet.

National Punctuation Day. The Korean Alphabet Day might be an ideal celebration for writers but there is one more. For the Americans, the Punctuation Day is definitely their fun alternative. During this day, everyone is encouraged to read newspapers, store signs, and other materials to find punctuation errors.

National Weatherperson's Day. Professionals who appear on your television to show you your daily weather forecast, with their suit-and-tie uniform as well as their impeccable speech, are called weatherpersons. These people have their own day set aside for them. The Weatherperson's Day allows people to celebrate the noble work of these professionals.

Bermuda Day. The work of a weatherperson is not that integral to the life of most people living in the tropical island. However, not knowing when the seasons change is a bad thing for them. That is why there is a day that signals the citizens when it is the right time to take off the winter clothes and start wearing summer apparels.

Blessed Rain Day. When living in countries that are always ravaged by monsoons, having a day that celebrates when weather phenomena stop is worth celebrating. In Bhutan, you get to celebrate this rest day by outdoor bathing. The mythically purified natural waters are what you will use for this.

Melon Day is a famous celebration of Turkmenistan. The Melon Day is a celebration meant for celebrating the actual creation of the popular muskmelon crossbreeds. Even melons in general are being celebrated in the beautiful Turkmenistan during August 12, otherwise called as Melon Day for them.

Picnic Day. When you are in Northern Australia, you just need to go to the Adelaide River together with your family on the first Monday of August. This is because it is a festivity that celebrates the Picnic Day. It should be worth it for you to go to this event. You can bring the entire family to the venue and have fun with your husband, wife, and kids during this three-day festivity.
