How OSHPD OSP Benefits The Patients When Earthquake Comes

Earthquakes may come in unexpected situations. That is why it is important for us to be prepared in some dangerous things that might happen. Aside from that, we are not the only one that needs to prepared, but also establishments.

Yes, you heard it right. Buildings should be prepared as well. There are organizations that ensure every building being built should withstand an earthquake. By doing this, the people that are in that specific establishment will be safe. OSHPD OSP is one of the programs that will ensure that every hospitals and health establishment can withstand earthquakes. This is vital and this is the reason why most hospitals these days are required to get an OSP certification.

Our topic for today is not all about these certified buildings, but how you can prevent yourself in these disastrous situation. Some buildings might be built to withstand the force of nature. However, it does not mean that it is full proof. Knowing this, it is still better to be prepared.

First is, you need to have a water with you. Food is important, however water is far more important. Before you head on and work, be sure a jug of water is already prepared in your side. You do not necessarily need a bunch of it, just a couple of it and you will be fine.

It does not mean, that food is not essential, you still need to bring some of it. This will supply you the energy you need to keep you going. Carbohydrates can provide energy, that is why sandwiches are the best food you can pack. Aside from that, they are delicious and portable too.

Bring some portable lights with you too. IPhones might already acquire this feature, however using it will drain up the battery so easily. The advantage about flashlights, is its longevity. It can last for days if used properly. There are also some portable ones, that can be recharged by converting your mechanical energy to electricity.

USB is not really important, however this is worth mentioning, especially to those working individuals. If you are making a very essential project, and losing it takes a part of your life, then save it as quickly as you can to your portable stick is your job. However, you have to refrain from doing this, if the shakes are outrageously devastating.

Most hospitals have a lot of beds, this is a good place to hide from falling debris. If you are a patient, you do not have to run to somewhere else. Just stay under your bed and you will be fine. As much as possible, go directly below, if you can already feel the shakes. Always be calm and do what you have to do.

If you are in a hospital that is accredited with OSHPD, then these earthquakes should not be a problem. However, there are some hospitals that do not have this. If you are concerned about it, then looking for a hospital that is accredited is essential. However, it is still best to be prepared when this happens. By following these tips, you should be able to survive.
