Assessing Fashion Job Interview Questions, With Christina Kelly

By Katie Onson

In order to land a job in the world of fashion, you have to be able to ace your interview. While this probably goes without saying, it's important to understand how to effectively prepare. Even though you might be hesitant, as far as this matter is concerned, Christina Kelly and other names in the fashion world can provide ample guidance. These are just a few of the common questions that you should make an effort to prepare for.

"Why did you become interested in fashion?" If you want to become involved in a fashion-related job, your origins must be covered. Specifically, you can talk about the classes you have taken in school, provided they are related to the industry. You might also want to discuss some of the outside projects you've been involved in. Whatever the case may be, this is a great way to start the interview, and names such as Christina Kelly would be hard-pressed to argue.

"How'd you find out about this business?" In order to work at a particular company, you should know what it's all about. It doesn't matter if the company in question produces denim jeans or specializes in wedding gowns; you have to be able to research the company in question. The best way to do this is by visiting official websites, but it's possible to learn more by reading online articles. As far as this topic is concerned, research will be your best friend.

"Can you tell me about future goals?" Every worker is going to have goals they'd like to reach, and Christina Kelly may say the same. After all, everyone has a ceiling, and it's important to reach it through hard work and skill alike. For example, you might start off as a cashier at a well-known clothing retailer, only to branch out and become a store manager on a local basis. If this is a goal you'd like to strive for, feel free to express it during an interview. More than anything else, it shows ambition on your part.

For those who might be approaching fashion job interviews, you should be prepared for the questions you will be asked. There are so many points that will covered, far beyond the questions covered earlier, so a strong learning experience will be beneficial. Not only should your responses be strong, but your overall demeanor should be professional as well. By working hard, the job that you have been looking for will be within reach.
