It Hurts Our Spirit So Bad When We Want It To Happen Now

By Pauline Maroon

Youth are often afraid of having wasted years. When you first graduate high school, you often want to go onto college and get your career started afterwards. However, once you graduate college, you realize that you don't have anyone waiting to give you a job. Eventually reality sits in and you see that the world is a tough place to find jobs in and everything is about waiting. Human beings are afraid of wasting time. We figure that we could be doing something else if we got what we wanted right now.

Patience is a virtue that psychics, ministers and gurus try to teach us. Most of us feel that we are not ready to learn any more life lessons. We want everything right now. Our minds often ask, "Why can't I have it when I want it?" We live in a fast paced society. Everything that we want seems to be there when we have money to buy it. If we want a faster internet connection, we simply upgrade with our internet service provider. If we want food, we go to the store and buy it. It is not easy to live in a world where disappointments are conflicting with our now mentality.

When you really think about it, we want our waiting to end because it is causing us pain. Nobody likes pain and suffering. However, we learn the greatest life lessons when we are experiencing pain and suffering. It is always amazing how we feel happy once we have overcome a spiritual life lesson. We often feel happier because we came through something that was so difficult.

Imagine if you graduated college with just a diploma. You just paid $40,000 and were handed a bachelor's degree. This may sound enticing at first, but you would not know anything. You didn't study any courses and you are not an expert in anything. If you wait with patience and study hard, in four years you will obtain knowledge and skills for a job. Fast paced living only leaves us unintelligent and not knowledgeable about the future.

Many people have dreams of hitting the lottery and making it big. People want to quit their jobs and work for themselves. However, is hitting the lottery ever a good idea? After all, what would you do if you had millions of dollars? Quitting your job would only make you bored with life. Eventually vacations would become boring and you would get tired of people asking you for money all of the time. You would feel used and would never know if someone liked you for who you are. Psychics often advise us to work through our hard times. Don't look back at the pain and suffering that you have had to endure. Instead, look forward at a brighter future. Try to understand that your suffering is only temporary.
