It is always recommended that one learns their own elements early on in the career journey to know where best to align. The following are the categories of a career anchor.

Technical competence. The kind of technical expertise that one has and what drives them towards any professional engagement can determine this. It mainly regards the individuals that find it easy to design and craft things since early on in their life. They are talented in a manner that they then carry on to enhance to become their profession and they can easily accomplish such. They are pleasured by exercising such skills since they come naturally to them.

Competencies of management. This category of anchors is essential and mainly involves the people who aspire towards managing others. The various aspirations that they have ought to be those which enable them to have leadership positions in the organizations they might be employed in. They in such a manner ought to have analytical capabilities, interpersonal skills, and emotional capabilities. They will rise up to be managers and work towards that in any job.

They value predictability of careers and hence search for those that offer great plans and loyalties.

Creative entrepreneurs. This kind of anchor is mainly composed of the individuals that have both entrepreneurship and creative mindsets. This means that aspire towards having their own brands that get to take over the market and topple the status quo. This makes their success requirements and measures to be mainly on the success in monetary terms of their organizations or creations.

The sense of service. This category mainly comprises of the individuals that are mainly engaged in promoting certain values even within organizations. Their work is as such based on them enhancing the values that they are endeared to in the society than on any particular talent.

Desirous of pure challenges. It comprises of the people who lean towards conquering others and various types of obstacles. Also, there are individuals who have lifestyle orientations and base their lives on such.
