5 Top Spiritual Tools To Grow Your Faith

By Lisa Campbell

Faith is nurtured when its foundations are strong. It blossoms and brings incredible meaning and benefits to your life. You need to identify the fundamental spiritual tools that will help your faith to grow. These pillars anchor your transformation into a strong spiritual being that has great respect for life.

Reading the word of God is compulsory for any Christian who desires to grow his or her spirituality. God speaks to his people through the Bible. It is from reading the world that you will understand the His will upon your life. You may also read expositions by anointed men and women of God like pastors and apostles. Once you read this word, you will remain grounded and thus grow in faith.

Be persistent in prayer. Do not pray because you need something from God. Prayer should form the basis of the life of every individual. Pray when you need something and thank God for that which you have received. Make fasting a part of your Christian life because it helps you focus.

Learn the power of praise and worship. The bible requires Christians to worship in spirit and truth. This means that you will be singing songs of praise while at the same time living the life dictated in the bible. It is your actions that will show that you are a worshiper in truth and spirit. In the absence of action, all your praises and worship will be regarded as noise.

Engage in a community of believers who will help strengthen your faith. Sharing the word of God benefits your spirit to a great extent. Different believers have dynamic perspectives about God and life. It is through sharing that you understand these perspectives. You also get to learn how God has blessed other people differently. You will appreciate the favor shown on your life.

Serve other people in your community. There are people who need to hear the message of Christ. These people are waiting to hear this message through your testimonies and actions. Be ready to go out and spread the word. You should also manifest your spirituality through acts of charity. God also uses people in need to communicate His desires and purpose in life. Unless you can serve the people you live with, you will not be exercising the call of Christianity.

Slow down and reflect on your life and the presence of God in it. People ignore the good deeds of God because they assume it is normal. Though you are yet to receive that which you prayed for, there is a lot more that you have already received. Thank God for it. Stop the arrogance and disgruntled feeling. If you can reflect on how good God has been to you, gratitude will flow from your heart and your faith fill increase.

Like a vehicle on the road, spirituality requires constant refilling. Share your experiences with other people in a community of believers. Take guidance from an anointed man who will direct you onto paths of righteousness. Once these pillars become a part of your life, it will change and take a different trajectory never seen before.
