Used Tube Mill Recycling Process In Detail

By Juana Buchanan

In the mining industry, very many machines are required to make the entire procedure a success. During these processes, the machines used usually depreciate with time. That is why the use of durable devices is recommended. The processes usually involve a lot of heating thus corroding the parts. Therefore, it becomes necessary to re use some of these devices so as to make the process affordable. Mills for instance are such devices. These are usually used in furnaces for letting out steam. They can also be reused. Used tube mill therefore are equally useful.

Various types of pipes are available. One of them is the low speed pipe. This type is usually fitted with a rotating cylinder shell and thus can be rotated easily. This is made possible by easy passing of the slurry as a final product. Medium pipes are those which are needed for crushing of coal. Most of the mills have these pipes in place. The medium pipes are installed initially.

Due to the high temperatures usually subjected to such pipes, their life span usually decreases in a great rate. They depreciate greatly due to exposure of various chemicals since they corrode them most times. In most cases, the already depreciated pipes are sold to local metal dealers if these are beyond repair. However, most of them are recycled and put to other uses, after repair.

Once they have been recycled, they gain a new look that makes them look new though these tubes are second hand. Thus, companies can recycle their machines to give them a desired brand new look. That is why companies are fond of setting up plants that have specialized in this art. This way, they can easily recycle them anytime they require doing so.

A special scanning machine is required in inspecting the pipes. Second hand tubes are passed on it hence detection of cracks and defects is made easier. Laser scanners are necessary, laser beams on these pipes do check on cracks. The machine works at a great speed making sure no mounting of pipes is done in order to eliminate delay in the receiving bay.

Repairing these pipes is a delicate process. Depending on the type of pipe, be it low or medium speed, close annealed strips are vital. This helps in replacing the worn out area hence sealing off cracks. Slitting of the raw material is done delicately to avoid waste. The separate preparatory section deals with fitting the right size of patch required in repairing pipes.

The strip pickling department is in charge of ensuring that the process runs smoothly. This department makes sure that no faults are experienced during this procedure. This way, it is done in the correct way.

There are other processes that the pipes go through. They include straightening, reshaping and eddy examinations. Once the processes are done, they are ready for sale. Clients are informed that they are secondhand before they purchase them.
