You Can't Always Be Positive, But...

By Evan Sanders

In truth, you can't always be positive.

Being positive all of the time isn't realistic because life is incredibly balanced. Life gives us a dose of negative to really help us appreciate the positives.

As we continue to grow throughout life, we experience bigger and bigger challenges. Carl Jung, A famous psychologist once said, "The brighter the light the darker the shadow." This honestly couldn't be more true. As we experience the light more and more, it also gives us the capacity to experience the darkness. This is the balance of life.

Throughout my life and on the journey of all of this personal discovery, I have discovered what it truly means to be out in this world to help other people create lives that they can be passionate about and proud of.

If we are willing to pull lessons out of the hardest times of life, we are going to give ourselves the chance to continue to grow no matter the circumstances. But life isn't always going to be positive. In fact, you don't want it to be positive all of the time.

We are all challenged by life. We are all suffering in one way or another. We all face the same pains and emotional struggles. These are all things that make us alike. However, if we can continue to put our hearts on the line day after day, we give ourselves the chance to actually live life instead of being scared all the time.

So sometimes, writing something that's optimistic, is essentially me fighting as hard as I'm able to to keep a positive outlook on life. Some days are a lot harder than others. Some days, I feel just like I can hardly breath.

If we can express ourselves through the tough times, we allow others to love us and care for us in our darkest moments.

This is a real life. This is an honest life.
